Connect your Ledger device to your computer device using a USB cable. Once this is done open MetaMask wallet on your PC using Chrome browser (same browser with Metamask extension installed).
Next, Click on the top-right menu of the MetaMask wallet and then find and click on “Connect Hardware Wallet” in the drop-down menu.
When you click “Continue,” MetaMask will attempt to look for your Ledger device that is connected to the computer. During this process you will need to unlock your Ledger device.
Once it discovers your wallet, it will prompt you to choose a Ledger account that you would want to connect to MetaMask. Choose the one you prefer (in my case I used my account containing $XYO). If you don't have an $ETH account on your ledger you can create one from Ledger Live app. Make note you might need to open the Ethereum app on the wallet before it can detect your accounts.
Now your ledger wallet $ETH account should appear on MetaMask. Once you see this you can go to next step to add Ledger $ETH account to the #CoinApp.
Open dApp browser (Firefox or Chrome browser with Metamask extension) and navigate to https://my.coinapp.co/verify
Once the page loads you will see a sign button (you might need to sign into your Coin account to get to verify screen). When you see the button click it and agree to the pop-up message.
Next, step is extremely important. On the ledger device open ETH app and as well make sure to have the Ledger device connected to the PC. If all goes well it will ask you a message on the Ledger device to verify the message being signed on the Coin website. Answer the message on the Ledger device and then the ledger wallet address will then be added to your Coin account.
Congrats, you can now use this as a link to your Ledger wallet to be used to view balance within Coin website and CoinApp. You can as well use this for HODL Rewards!
