What is an BridgeX?
The BridgeX is an very important component of the XYO Network. Without this device you will not be able to off load Bound Witnesses from sentinels within range of the BridgeX. The BridgeX key role is to talk to sentinels within range of itself and will upload any bound witnesses the sentinel may have. This could be bound witnesses you have have collected or bound witnesses someone else has collected on their sentinel. When the bound witnesses is uploaded to the XYO Network it is stored on an archivist which will be stored in a decentralized form which is owned by the person whom collected the bound witness. Geospatial data aka Bound Witness can earn rewards later down the road when the network is complete. These rewards can be earned by uploading the bound witnesses to the archivist and as well earned if anyone queries your data which if your bridge was responsible of uploading the bound witnesses then it will also earn rewards as well.
Parts Needed to Build BridgeX
1. Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+
2. 16 GB Micro SD Card
3. Raspberry Pi Fan, iUniker RGB Cooling Fan Raspberry Pi Ice Tower Cooler
Building BridgeX
To build the BridgeX you will need to first install the Raspberry Pi fan onto the Raspberry Pi 3. To do this follow instructions in video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FciNotr6d6g)
Once you have installed the fan you will next need to copy the BridgeX software to an SD Card. To do this follow steps 1 and 2 below.
1. Download BridgeX software from https://developers.xyo.network/docs/en/bridge-x/
2. Burn the img file to an SD card by watching the "How to Flash Your Bridge SD Card" video. You can download the Ether software from https://www.balena.io/etcher.
After you have copied the IMG file to your SD card you are ready to insert the SD card into the raspberry pi. The SD card port will be located on the side of the raspberry pi.
Next, you will need to connect your Ethernet cable to the raspberry pi and then connect the power cord and HDMI cable to a PC monitor. You will also need to connect a USB keyboard and mouse to the raspberry pi as well.
When you power the raspberry pi you will see the below screen.

Enter in a password that you can remember. You will need to enter the password in twice as verification you have a matching password free from any typos.
Click on the continue button.
If you are setting up the BridgeX to work with the Coin app you can stop here as the below instructions will not be needed to get the BridgeX functioning with Coin app.
Next you will see the below screen. In this screen you will need to enter in your e-mail address and password you used for the COIN app, XYO Network app or any of the other tools used in the XYO Network. Once you have entered in both you will need to click on the Login button.

Now you are ready to claim your bridge. To do this you will need to click on the blue claim button.

If you see the blue Unclaim button you have successfully claimed your bridge and the BridgeX will be ready to start off loading any bound witnesses from any sentinels within range of the BridgeX.
Thank you! Any additional info we should know?
Thank you, you are helping the network!
